Questions to Help Identify Your Goals this May

Welcome to your moment of self-reflection for May.

Self-reflection is a powerful tool for developing self-awareness and confidence in who you are.

So these questions are designed to help you think independently and reconnect with your authentic self. Take the time to notice where your thoughts, choices and behaviours may be influenced by others. And give yourself the opportunity to think about if you want to stay in your current state or be better.

By taking time to answer them honestly, you create space to understand your values, trust your judgement, and align your actions with who you truly want to be. This kind of reflection isn’t about having perfect answers. It's about asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and building a stronger, more intentional relationship with yourself.

Let’s go!

  1. How do you feel your year’s experience is going so far?

  2. What's the best thing that has happened to you so far?

  3. How do you think your idea of achievement has changed throughout the year?

  4. What does a ‘good day’ look like for you?

  5. Where in life do you feel most like yourself?

  1. What decisions have you made recently without outside influence?

  2. What have you added to your goal list, because of what you’ve experienced this year so far?

  3. When was the last time you changed your mind, and why?

  3. What would you still pursue even if no one noticed or praised you?

  4. How often do you slow down to see things from another perspective?

  5. What role do you naturally take in groups (e.g., leader, mediator, observer), and how does that serve or limit you?

  1. In what situations do you feel the most authentic?

  2. When you feel misunderstood, how do you usually respond? What does that reveal about what you need most from others?

  3. How do you respond when someone disagrees with you?

  4. This time next month, what would you like to see change?

  5. What would you regret not trying in the next 1–2 years?
